Australian, USA, Canada & China Passport Holders
Australian passport holders require a visa to visit Brazil. Eligible Australian travellers can apply online for an Electronic Visa (eVisa).
👉 Apply through the Official Brazil eVisa Portal
The application is completed online and, once approved, the eVisa is delivered electronically. Guests should download and print their approved eVisa and have it available for both boarding and arrival in Brazil.
Other Passport Holders
Visa requirements vary according to nationality.
If your nationality is not included in the visa-exempt table above, you should check the current Brazilian visa requirements applicable to your passport.
Guests who require a visa but are not eligible for Brazil's eVisa should follow the application requirements provided by the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate responsible for their place of residence.
Important Information
Guests who require a Brazilian visa must arrange the appropriate visa themselves.
Explorations by Norwegian cannot secure a Brazilian visa on your behalf.
If you require an eVisa, ensure you apply using the passport you will be travelling with. If you hold dual nationality, you must apply with the passport you intend to travel on.
Apply Early
Australian guests requiring an eVisa are strongly encouraged to apply well in advance of travel.
The official Brazil eVisa portal advises that processing may take up to 10 business days once a completed application has been verified and submitted to the relevant Brazilian consular post. It strongly advises applying two months before planned travel to provide sufficient time to complete or correct an application if necessary.
Passport Requirements
For your Explorations by Norwegian voyage, please ensure you travel with the same passport associated with your applicable visa or eVisa.
Please remember that other countries visited during your voyage may have different passport-validity requirements, so your passport must meet the requirements for your complete itinerary.
