We are sharing an update recently published by the UK Government regarding upcoming changes to entry requirements for travel to the United Kingdom. This information may be relevant to you if you have upcoming plans to travel to the UK.
The UK Government has announced that from 25 February 2026, it will begin strictly enforcing new pre‑departure checks associated with its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system. These checks apply to travellers entering or transiting through the United Kingdom.
Every traveller’s situation is unique, and requirements can vary depending on individual circumstances. Please note that we are unable to provide advice on nationality, citizenship, passport eligibility, or documentation pathways, so we encourage you to review the official UK Government information to understand how these changes may relate to your personal circumstances.
The UK Government has also published detailed information about who is and is not eligible for an ETA, including circumstances where travellers may need to travel using specific documentation. As individual requirements differ, we are unable to interpret or summarise these rules on your behalf.
