Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
A Transit ETA is needed for cruises spending up to two days in Sri Lanka and a Tourist ETA is required for cruises where the ship spends three or more days in the country.
The ETA can be secured through the official Sri Lanka ETA site: https://eta.gov.lk/slvisa/ and can be applied for as early as 90 days prior to the arrival date in Sri Lanka.
The transit ETA is free of charge and the Tourist ETA is 50 USD (as at 27 March 2026).
Guests are required to bring a hard/printed copy of the ETA to turn in with passports during the embarkation process.
