Bringing Personal Alcoholic Beverages On Board
We recognise that some guests may wish to bring their own alcoholic beverages on board to enjoy during their voyage. Whether it's a cherished bottle of wine or Champagne from your personal collection, a favourite spirit for a nightcap, or a carefully selected craft beer, we're committed to helping make your cruise as personalised and enjoyable as possible.
To ensure a seamless and pleasant experience for all guests, we’ve established clear guidelines on the types and quantities of personal alcoholic beverages that may be brought on board as well as how these beverages can be consumed during your voyage. These policies are intended to support guest enjoyment while maintaining onboard service standards, ensuring safety, and complying with international customs regulations.
Please be aware that:
- All policies are subject to the laws and regulations of local authorities at each port. In certain jurisdictions, local laws may prohibit the possession or transportation of alcohol when embarking or reboarding the vessel. These laws take precedence over the guidelines outlined by Explorations by Norwegian
- Explorations by Norwegian reserves the right to deny boarding or use of any alcoholic beverages brought on board at its sole discretion.
Personal Beverage Allowances
Guests may bring the following quantities per stateroom:
- Wine & Champagne: Up to 6 bottles (750 ml each) – World Cruise guests may bring up to 60 bottles (750 ml each) for the entire voyage.
- Spirits: 1 bottle (1 litre)
- Beer: Up to 12 cans or bottles (330–355 ml each)
Allowances apply to beverages brought aboard at embarkation or purchased in ports of call. For World Cruise guests, spirit and beer allowances reset per segment.
If you bring more than the permitted amount, the excess beverages will be safely stored by ship security for the duration of your voyage and returned to you on disembarkation day.

- Enjoy in your stateroom or suite with no additional fee.
- If you'd like to enjoy your personal wine and/or Champagne in dining venues or public areas, a $25USD corkage fee per 750 ml bottle applies.
