Maldives Entry Requirements
Guests visiting the Maldives as part of their Explorations by Norwegian voyage should review the following entry requirements before travelling.
Passport Requirements
All foreign passport holders travelling to the Maldives must hold a passport with at least six months validity remaining from the date of entry.
⚠️ Guests travelling with a passport that expires within six months of entering the Maldives may be denied boarding on embarkation day.
Do I Need a Visa?
Guests visiting the Maldives as part of a cruise itinerary and arriving and departing with the vessel are considered in-transit passengers.
✅ In-transit guests visiting the Maldives as a port of call do not require a visa before or during the cruise.
This applies to guests who are visiting the Maldives during their voyage and are not independently entering the country outside their cruise arrangements.
Israeli Passport Holders
Guests travelling on an Israeli passport are not permitted to go ashore in the Maldives.
⚠️ Israeli passport holders must remain on board while the ship is in Maldivian ports.
Before You Travel
To ensure a smooth arrival experience, please make sure you:
✅ Hold a passport with at least six months validity from the date of entry into the Maldives.
✅ Confirm that your passport nationality meets all applicable entry requirements.
✅ Carry all required travel documentation throughout your voyage.
As immigration requirements can change without notice, guests are responsible for ensuring they hold the correct documentation for travel. Explorations by Norwegian recommends reviewing all passport and entry requirements well in advance of departure to avoid any disruption to your holiday.
