Tanzania Visa Requirements
Guests visiting Tanzania who intend to go ashore are required to obtain a visa before travelling.
A Tanzanian visa is only required if you plan to disembark and go ashore. Guests who remain on board while the ship is in Tanzania do not require a visa.
Which Visa Do I Need?
| Nationality | Visa Type Required |
|---|---|
| United States Passport Holders | Multiple-Entry Visa |
| All Other Nationalities Requiring a Visa | Ordinary Visa |
United States passport holders must obtain a Multiple-Entry Visa, even if their cruise itinerary only enters and exits Tanzania once.
All other eligible nationalities should apply for an Ordinary Visa.

✅ Purchase the mandatory Zanzibar travel insurance if applicable to your itinerary.
✅ Carry a passport that meets all applicable validity requirements.
